OSC IPhone and Arduino

For my Major project for the 2010 Embedded Systems class i attempted to emulate a popular project see right across you tube, using the IPhone/IPod touch to control objects connected to the arduino.

Equipment:
  • Old remote controled car, Cost: $20
  • IPod Touch, Cost $300
  • Arduino (I'm using Duemilanove), Cost ~$120
  • Some Prototype board
  • Some old single strand Cat5e/6 Network cable
  • Transistors (You could use a Motor driver, but i was cheap)
Software:
  • Arduino software
  • Proccessing tool
  • TouchOSC ($4.99USD) or Mrmr (FREE) found on iTunes
How it works: This gets a bit technical.

On my IPod Touch i run ether MrMr or TouchOSC, these programs use an old standard for sending data from devices, which was used to control lights.
